which do you think you are?

April 11th, 2002 (03:12 am)
pensive

current mood: pensive

some people reach out for others, but don't seem to get from them what they are grasping for...
while other people will wait for others to come to them, and find what is needed to fill a void.

I wait for people to come to me. I lack initiative.

what are you doing?

I think I'm changing.

I used to wait, not only for others, but for everything to come to me. All about a lack of confidence, and huge amount of laziness, and little grasp on the fact that I should be the one controlling and making the decisions on my life, and making it happen.

And you see its this realisation thats now making me realise I have to be a 'Go Grabber' person. I will soon find out if what I am grabbing for is what I want or not.

You could say the grabbers are the risk takers, ready to give it a go too see what happens, see what its like, even if it all turns out wrong. but they hope every time for it to be right, its the confidence that they have that will make them grab and grab again until they find it.

But its when you change from being a grabber to a waiter that you are taking a backwards step, you are giving in. It's only the lucky grabbers who become waiters and receive what they want by not doing alot. Not everyone waits and receives, I would say less people wait and receive than grab and finally find.

My final thought:
If you are a grabber, keep on grabbing, law of averages says it will come. If you are a waiter, wait if you wish, but dont expect it to come.
