I don't understand people who use their breaks while driving on the freeway, when there's no reason to be using them.

If they just want to slow down, don't they realize that taking their foot off the gas pedal will do that for them??

::sigh::

Here's to another crazy long day at the office. Hopefully my brain power is up to it...... I left here yesterday thinking like a zombie...ummmmm.....brains.......
it was disturbing. :o/

Unfortunately, many automatic transmissions don't let you do that. It gets even worse: On my wife's car, I can actually feel the engine pulling the car forward while I'm braking. That's why I really prefer the manual (stick) transmission on my car.

I'm hoping that the new hybrid transmissions "get it". I hear the Prius actually transfers some kinetic energy from the wheels back to the battery during braking. Though it sounds faintly like perpetual motion at first, it actually makes sense.
