current mood: sleepy
current song: Sade - Every Word

I always say I'm going to go to bed early, but I never seem to have enough time in my day to do all the things I want to do.

So because I set those things at a priority above amount of hours needed to get a good nights rest, I end up suffering in the morning.

When am I going to learn that my body can't give me a monday through friday sleep schedule of 12am to 445am? I must be getting old....

Sometimes I wish that I were a robot.

We need clones. That's our answer.

I suffer from the same affliction. I tell myself I'll go to bed at 10, and still be telling myself I need to go to bed by 1:30 in the morning.

I don't let mine get that out of control...

last night was one of those night where I got to bed at a decent hour, and once I feel asleep, I woke up a few hours later, not to fall asleep again until 1.5 hours before my alarm was set to go off.

So, I thought I was going to be all tired, but it turns out that I'm quite awake this morning.

and there we have it. I have a one day turnaround on tiredness.

I know the feeling, I've been doing this too myself week in and week out for a few years now. I always hope to turn in early and catch up my sleep, but I lack the time to accomplish everything I want to do every day. I think it was Leonardo DaVinci, that got about four hours sleep a nite by choice, because he felt that he wanted the extra hours to accomplish more. Well, I'm not quite as prolific as that man, but I sympathize. Plenty of time to sleep when dead, yes?

If death is slumber, then yes.

I used to not be a morning person, and I still am not, by "textbook" definition. However, I have found that I get frustrated with myself if I sleep too much of the day away.

I would rather get 5 hours of sleep a night, and have a chance to nap in the afternoon, than get 8 hours of sleep a night.
